This project is a refurbishment of the existing library to enable the introduction of contemporary library design strategies. The space has been designed from the learning setting through to the interior fitout which reflects where the school currently is and where it is heading.
At Leaf, we are driven by creating spaces that are exciting and forward-thinking, spaces that will capture the attention of learners for generations to come. The inspiration for this project has come from biophilic design principles, bringing nature inside, using ‘trees that teach’ and natural materials. In this contemporary library space, the goal is to encourage students to pick up a book and climb into their next adventure.
Within the library, we have created a series of precincts that reflect the needs of a K-12 school, while allowing for embellishment by connecting to a series of outdoor spaces to maximise the opportunities for learning.
