Location: Kensington, NSW
Completion Date: 2023
Cost: $1.5M
Engagement: Concept Design, Schematic Design, Documentation, Services During Construction

The biophilic design of OLSH library aims to entice students into a light filled, welcoming learning environment where they can "...meet, collaborate, research, learn, share and relax" and where students are encouraged to be "...critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers and skillful, efficient and discerning researchers."

A plant-filled atrium is located in the centre of the library, with flexible, open-plan learning areas arranged around it. A senior study area, seminar rooms and an IT help desk are also located within the library space.

Nature is infused throughout the library, through the use of plants, outlook to trees and sky, fresh air, natural light and timber feature elements.

The School’s core values are showcased throughout the Library space, encouraging a sense of belonging and reinforcing the College ethos that OLSH is a “Community of the Heart”.
