The brief for this project was a Masterplan that accommodated future growth in enrolments and added a new learning centre, to facilitate a two-stream primary school.

The school is home to a State Heritage Listed building, which provided significant design challenges to accommodate the scale of a new, three storey building.  We were able to accommodate the Heritage Item in a thoughtful design response that acknowledges the form of the heritage building and conceals the additional storey of the new building.

The result is a design that ‘bookends’ the site, proudly displaying the future on one side, while grounding the school in the community's heritage on the other.
